An oval silver plated basket for fresh figs, nuts or oranges, perhaps, made in finest plate, probably in the 1930s. The basket measures 8 1/2" x 6" and 3 1/2" deep (21cms x 16cms x 8.5cms) and is in very good order, with only light signs of wear, particularly to the inside, age-related. It looks as if there is a some wearing inside the photograph. This lovely basket will definitely hold your bread rolls or fruit!
There is a blank cartouche to one side, for the engraving of your own monogram. This is quite a light item, an indication of its quality.
